Reviewing Godzilla the King of the Monsters: All Monsters Attack aka Godzilla’s Revenge (1969)
I’m back at it again folks and this time, I promise that I won’t have the hate-filled vitriol spewing from my fingers as I did with the last one. Today I am going to bring you another much-maligned Godzilla film, but for many different reasons than the one that shall not be named. That’s right, we’re going all the way back to 1969 and covering All Monsters Attack, aka Godzilla’s Revenge. Right off the bat, I don’t understand why the US named the film Godzilla’s Revenge. It makes no sense at all. Even the Japanese title doesn’t really make sense when you watch the movie. I’ll save all that for…

Friday Fright Fest | The Very Best Flicks of the 1980s Part 1
The theatre is back open today and we’re taking a trip back to the 1980’s for Friday Fright Fest. Well, the first of two trips to be exact. The 80’s were iconic for horror films. We have such classics as Friday the 13th, The Evil Dead and Hellraiser to name a few. There are just too many truly iconic movies from the 80s that it was tough to pick my top 5. That said let’s dive right into the decade in which I was born, the best era for horror, the 1980’s! #5. Friday the 13th | 1980 A group of camp counsellors trying to reopen a summer camp called…

Amicus Back From The Grave?
This is part of my childhood. Amicus. Hammer was the horror film granddaddies, all that Dracula and Frankenstein goodness, but Amicus, like Tigon, seemed a little but more…opened out. Even more legitimate. I’m not saying that Hammer wasn’t excellent, established, legitimate film makers, they won the Queen’s Award For Industry, for goodness sake, but those Hammer films had a repertory of actors who were linked to the studio and their films – Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing had a great career in film before, during and after, but were captured by their Hammer performances. Amicus were different. Known for their portmanteau horror films, even though they did so much more,…

Reviewing Godzilla the King of the Monsters: Godzilla 1998
With the news that we are getting two new Godzilla films, one from Toho and the other from Legendary, I felt it could be a fun idea to rewatch every single movie and review them all for you individually. I am going to follow my ranking from Worst to Best, since for me I’d rather get the bad movies out of the way first. Saying that I do have the utter misfortune of watching the one movie in the series that I absolutely despise and wish was never made in the first place. That is the 1998 attempt from Tristar Pictures, Godzilla. Forewarning now, there will be a lot of…

Friday Fright Fest | Best Flicks of the 1970s
Welcome one and all to Friday Fright Fest. As always, I am your tour guide, Jeff, and today we’re going to take a trip back in time to tour the 1970s. The 70s gave us some of the absolute best horror films in history. Their impact and scare factor can still be felt some 50 years later with two of the films on this list are still talked about to this day. Without further ado, the time machine is open to you all and it’s time to dive right in. TW: For discussions of brutal scenes of murder and rape #5. Halloween | 1978 Fifteen years after murdering his sister…
