Best Dressed: 2017 Bafta Awards

Viola Davis

Viola Davis was my Best Dressed of the night, she wore a beautiful Jenny Packham dress which utilised three different shades of blue to sculpt around her body, elongating it while also focusing on her waist and chest, while the blue tones complement her skin tone. The dress look absolutely stunning in the cold British weather and flowed gracefully down the red carpet, being enhanced by the wind. 10/10

Isabelle Huppert

Huppert is a star of the European movie scene, more specifically within films from her homeland, and is one of the most well known actresses of the French film industry who has been nominated for awards all around the world. so it would be fitting that she would bring her classic and timeless Parisian style to the Baftas this year wearing a beautiful bespoke boho style gown by French Fashion House Chloe. 9.5/10

Daisy Ridley

Daisy Ridley stood out on the red carpet this year with her black, red and white tea length dress. It was a look that was completely different while remaining stylish modern and fun, just like the actress who wore it. The blue embroidered floral panelled dress was paired with black heels, simple jewellery and a matching bomber jacket to keep warm while looking stylish in the cold February weather. 9.5/10

Sophie Turner

Sophie Turner looked like a warrior goddess in a plunging black and silver Louis Vuitton dress. The top half of the dress in made from black sequins and includes a plunging neckline and silver studs inspired by rock and roll fashion. The bottom of the dress includes a long slit to show off Turner’s incredible legs, while it is made up of silver sequins. A black studded belt breaks up the top and bottom of the dress while a pair of black strappy shoes finished off the look. 9.5/10

Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt wore a stunning Alaxander McQueen gown with a beautiful, colourful eye catching structured bodice and a long textured skirt fit for a princess. This was paired with heels by Sophia Webster. 9/10

Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep went with a classic black look for the red carpet. She wore a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci trouser suit with a silky and seductive lace under top. Meryl always knows how to dress for the red carpet and yet again shows us why she is the true queen and what a classic star of Hollywood she truly is. 9/10

Penelope Cruz

Cruz looked like a golden Goddess in a 70′s inspired off the shoulder number. This dress is

Atelier Versace and has a real studio 54 vibe from the gold, to the off the shoulder cut to the glistering sequins. the style is Grecian and Roman in inspiration while still feeling modern and retro all in one dress. 9/10

Felicity Jones

Felicity Jones’s princess ballgown dress, seems like a modern fairy tale come to life. It feels modern and Gothic with the black and hints of lace and sheer material making it an altogether simple yet breathtaking look. The dress was designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri for Christian Dior. 9/10

Ella Purnell

Ella Purnell looked beautiful in a simple

Grecian style, halter neck dress. the dress is in a pale blue and the silhouette is simple and complements her strong athletic body while still allowing her to remain elegant in the moment. The dress is by Miu Miu. 9/10
