BOSJ 26 Finals

Shota Umino, Titan & Dragon Lee vs Ren Narita, Johnathan Gresham & Bandido

It’s Ring Of Honour vs CMLL.

Five out of six of these men participated in BOSJ.

Dragon Lee is very popular with the Japanese crowd.

I could watch Bandido wrestle Dragon Lee & Titan all day.

What I love about tag match’s in New Japan is that everyone gets a chance to shine & every single style gets to be displayed.

The inclusion of the Young Lions really helps them grow as athletes.

Shota Umino, Titan & Dragon Lee WinDragon Lee pinned Ren Narita ahead of his title defence at Dominion.

YOH, SHO & Ryusuke Taguchi vs Robbie Eagles, El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori

The match starts with Ishimori & Phantasmo attacking YOH, SHO & Taguchi before the bell.

Robbie Eagles isn’t impressed with El Phantasmo’s attitude & at some point he is going to snap.

Phantasmo & Eagles play with Taguchi’s ball before Phantasmo boots it into the audience.

They did a thumb in the bum spot, this match has great wrestling & comedy.

Taguchi has amazing chemistry with Eagles & Phantasmo, I hope we get to see more match’s in the next year between these three.

Does Eagles have bad match’s with anyone, cause judging by just his run in BOSJ I’m going to take that as a no.

Phantasmo tagged himself in before Robbie hit his finisher & pinned SHO, El Phantasmo stole the pin from him.

He then stole the tag belts & gave one to Ishimori. Robbie Eagles stormed off & have definitely had enough of Phantasmo’s attitude.

“Apparently there is no such thing as team in Bullet Club” – Robbie Eagles

Tiger Mask, Jyushin Thunder Liger, YOSHI-HASHI, Toru Yano, Tomohiro Ishii vs DOUKI, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Zack Saber Jr, Minora Suzuki, Taichi

Minora Suzuki didn’t come out to his own music & that makes me sad.

Liger vs DOUKI starts the match off.

This match just about Suzuki-Gunn brutalizing everyone in their path.

Ishii gets tagged in by Liger & Taichi is tagged in by Suzuki to give us a preview for Dominion this weekend.

ZSJ is another level when it comes to technical wizardry.

YOSHI-HASHI pinned DOUKI to pick up the win.

I hope Ishii beats the living hell out of Taichi this weekend.

YOSHI – HASHI wants to fight ZSJ

And now Liger & Sazuki are threatening each other with chairs & fight out of the arena.

Toa Henare, Tomoaki Honma, Togi Makabe, Kota Ibushi vs BUSHI, SANADA, EVIL, Testuya Naito

LIJ are one of the best factions out there & are probably the easiest to get to know for people who are new to New Japan.

The match starts with Ibushi vs Naito as a preview to their intercontinental match at Dominion.

EVIL & SANADA are taking it in turns to beat down on Honma, but now Makabe is in control of the match, with SANADA in the ring.

Naito & Ibushi get back in the ring together & it really us a warm up for their title bout. EVIL & Henare have great in ring chemistry & should definitely lead to a program.

EVIL picked up the win for LIJ pinning Henare.

Rocky Romero & Kazuchika Okada vs Brody King & Marty Scurll

Marty Scurll & Brody King are such an intimidating combo when they come out together.

Having The Rainmaker Okada back after what was a hard six moths before he regained his championship at MSG is really nice. The blond hair, the shorts & the happiness it brings me makes me glad the old Kaz is back.

Rocky came out wearing his Black Tiger mask again, he gave his mask to Kevin Kelly on commentary & was sporting his signature eye patch underneath.

Okada & King start off this tag match, we also get King & Romero in the ring while Scurll jumps in when needed.

This match seems to be a display of Brody King’s strength & insane ability. I’m really hoping we will get to see more of Villain Enterprises in New Japan.

Forever clotheslines are always great.

Okada picked up Brody King.

Okada got the pin over King after delivering a Rainmaker.

Okada was watching out for Jericho & the lights go out to show a video from Jericho. Rainmaker vs Painmaker.

After the lights go up Okada looks behind him & cuts a promo on Jericho before leaving with his title, but still keeps checking his back. Is Jericho in his head?

Okada vs Jericho is going to tear the house down at Dominion.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Jay White

Instead of the white gear this time we have got the Black & red gear & it’s beautiful.

Tanahashi has the most beautiful hair styles & designed gear, he’s just great.

Jay White attacked Tanahashi before the bell even sounds. A lot of brawling happened outside of the ring, even Gedo trying to get involved.

It’s the time of the Switchblade eraWhite has spent a lot of time in this match working on Tanahashi’s elbow, that he had to have surgery on after the G1 Supercard at MSG.

White locked in the Fujiwara Armbar & it looked brutal, Tanahashi after a long time of struggling reached the ropes to break the submission.

Jay hit Tanahashi with a low blow & Tana payed back in kind, only for Jay White to win with a roll up.

I really hope one day we will get to see Jay White vs Will Ospreay for the IWGP Heavyweight championship.

MUST WATCH: Juice Robinson vs Jon Moxley

The video package before this match is crazy, I’ve never been more hyped or nervous over a match in my life.

Mox is wrestling in trunks again, he has a sic leather jacket, his earring is back in & his entrance is so cool. He’s got back to his roots.

Juice cut all his hair off.

Mox gave a suicide dive to the outside throwing Juice over the announce table. Mox bit him, straight up bit him.

Juice jumped off the entrance way into Moxley. And threw him into every barricade on the way, but Mox got out of the way as Juice delivered the senton.

Mox is now working on Juice’s leg. Juice has been busted open just above his eye and after pounding down on Mox he shouted at Red Shoes.

This match is just an all and out brawl, there have been chairs & tables. This match has everything. Juice made it back in the ring just before 20.

We’ve had a figure four leg lock on the ring post & Mox nearly ruined juices leg with a chair, but Red Shoes distracted him so Juice could throw the chair at him.

There has been so many many brilliant submission holds, Mox’s clover leaf is beautiful.

Mox hit the Double Armed DDT but Juice kicked out.

Mox hit the Death Rider and pins Juice Robinson.

Jon Moxley is your new IWGP United States Champion.

MUST WATCH: Block A vs Block B: Shingo Takagi vs Will Ospreay

Now for our Main Event. It’s a till pin fall match, which means it could go on “all Night” as Kevin Kelly would say.

Ospreay’s gear is beautiful & he brought a sword to the ring.

There is a definite feeling out period for the first minute or so. This match is all about power, speed & agility between two of the very best Junior Heavyweights in the world.

Takagi is the Dragon but Ospreay wants to slay the Dragon. And this match has such a big fight feel.

I can’t accurately describe everything that is in this match, so all i can say is, just go and watch it.

They use every single inch of the ring & the outside to destroy each other.

This is Shingo’s longest match in the BOSJ tournament at 33:36.

Ospreay just kicked out of The Last Of The Dragon.

Ospreay hit the OsCutter followed by the Stormbreaker to become The BOSJ 2019 Winner.

After his win he talks to the crowed, says he misses Hiromu Takahashi & hopes he gets better soon so they can fight & officially announces he is moving full time to Japan.
