Tokyo Sports Puroresu Awards 2020
The Tokyo Sports Puroresu Awards are Japanese professional wrestling awards, being the most publicised with all major promotions represented, that have been handed out by the Tokyo Sports magazine annually since 1974. The awards are voted on by a committee including reporters, photographers and other individuals who are involved in the japans pro wrestling industry. The winners are announced in mid December while an awards ceremony is normally held the following January in Tokyo, Japan.

Tetsuya Naito | New Japan Pro-Wrestling
Tetsuya Naito was born 22nd June 1982 and is a founding member and leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon and is currently signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), where he is the current IWGP Heavyweight, in his third reign, and IWGP Intercontinental Champion, in his sixth reign. He is a former NEVER Openweight Champion, IWGP Tag Team and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. Naito has also won the G1 Climax twice, in 2013 and 2017, and the New Japan Cup in 2016. He has also worked for CMLL (AJPW) and Ring of Honor (ROH).

Go Shiozaki | Pro Wrestling Noah
Go Shiozaki was born 21st January 1982 and is currently signed to Pro Wrestling Noah (NOAH) and is the current GHC Heavyweight Championship in his fourth reign. In August of 2016 he was appointed the chairman of Noah’s wrestlers’ association. He has also worked for All Japan Pro-Wrestling (AJPW) where he has been a one-time Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion and a two-time World Tag Team Champion, Ring of Honor (ROH), and Full Impact Pro (FIP).

Tetsuya Endo | DDT Pro-Wrestling
Tetsuya Endo was born 11th August 1991 and is signed to DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT) and is the current KO-D Openweight Champion in his second reign and a former four-time KO-D Tag Team Champion.
Fighting Spirit Award | 敢闘賞 | Kantō-shō
Hiromu Takahashi | New Japan Pro-Wrestling
Hiromu Takahashi was born 4th December 1989 and is a member of Los Ingobernables de Japon faction and has worked for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), Ring of Honor (ROH), and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
While in CMLL and his first run in ROH he would work under the name Kamaitachi winning the CMLL World Lightweight Championship in January 2016. He would return to NJPW in November 2016 and join Los Ingobernables de Japon being awarded the Wrestling Observer Newsletter award for Best Gimmick in 2017, winning the Best of the Super Juniors in 2018 and becoming a three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. He won the Best of the Super Juniors in 2020, beating El Desperado is a five star classic in the finals.

Sugiura-gun | Kazushi Sakuraba and Takashi Sugiura | Pro Wrestling Noah
Kazushi Sakuraba was born 14th July 1969 and is a member of Sugiura-gun faction and is signed to Rizin Fighting Federation and Pro Wrestling Noah (NOAH) where he is one-half of the current GHC Tag Team Champions with Takashi Sugiura. Sakuraba is a mixed martial artist, submission grappler, and professional wrestler.
Takashi Sugiura was born 31st May 1970 and is a member of Sugiura-gun faction and is signed to Pro Wrestling Noah (NOAH) where he is one-half of the current GHC Tag Team Champions with Kazushi Sakuraba. Sugiura is an accomplished amateur wrestler and has also competed as a mixed martial artist.

Giulia | World Wonder Ring Stardom
Giulia was born 21st February 1994 and is a founding member of Donna del Mondo faction and is signed to World Wonder Ring Stardom where she is the current Wonder of Stardom Champion in her first reign and a former Artist of Stardom Champion with Maika and Syuri. On 4th January 2020, on the first night of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 14 in the Tokyo Dome Giulia and Hana Kimura were defeated by Arisa Hoshiki and Mayu Iwatani. In 2020 she also won the Cinderella Tournament and won the vacant Wonder of Stardom Championship on 26th July.
Giulia has previously worked for Ice Ribbon between 2017 and October 2019.
