Camavinga Becomes The Star Of Real Madrid

In August 2021, Eduardo Camavinga would join Real Madrid for 30 million euros. A move that would raise a lot of eyebrows in the footballing world, after a rough start Camavinga has found his feet in an ever-changing Real Madrid midfield. When you are learning under such talent like Toni Kroos and Luka Modric it’s hard not to pick up some of their knowledge. Eduardo scored his first Real Madrid goal in a 5-2 win over Celta Vigo shortly after coming off the bench.

In this season’s Champion’s League, Eduardo has put in world-class performances against Man City and Chelsea, transforming the second leg against Man City after he came on in the second half. He has every attribute you would want in an attacking midfielder, he has amazing ball control and pace and looks confident for a player so young. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti seems to have a lot of faith in the youngster which means his future could be very bright.

Eduardo Camavinga: Career Statistics

Eduardo Camavinga has put in amazing performances for both Stade Rennais F.C. and Real Madrid but what are his actual career statistics? For Real Madrid, he has 2 goals and 2 assists in 41 games, and for Rennes, he has 2 goals and 1 assist in 71 games. Maybe for the usual football fan might not sound great, but Camavinga offers so much more than the usual, his forward play and fast-paced style mean the players around him create amazing chances to score.

A Bright Future

With a lot of young players, there is usually talk about them moving onto big and better things but Camavinga has already made that move by playing for a club rich in royalty as Real Madrid. He seems to be content with the role Ancelotti is offering him, and the only way forward I can see is that Eduardo is the natural successor to a Toni Kroos and becomes the new Zidane and helps bring Real Madrid back to the success they once had over world football. I’m sure he’ll be tempted by other clubs in Europe’s elite but for now, he is content being Madrid’s wonder star in the making.
