Boubacar Kamara is coming to Aston Villa

Boubacar Kamara: Villa’s New Engine

Aston Villa has signed Boubacar Kamara from Olympique Marseille, in a move that excites anyone who has followed this young player’s career. The big question is how did this move come to be? And will this be the signing of the summer or an unexpected bust coming into the 22/23 Premier League season? Let’s chat it through in another Player Profile.

Starting Young

Boubacar would join the Om Academy in September 2005 aged 5, he would become the captain of the u19 team already proving he is a born leader. At the age of 16, he would be promoted to the senior team. Boubacar would score his first goal for Marseille in a 1-0 win against Marseille scoring the only goal of the game. Europe would soon take notice of this young talent.

Becoming A Legend

Boubacar Kamara would go on to play 170 games for his boyhood club, playing in a huge range of positions his versatility is one of the many reasons why people are tipping him to be a big name for years to come. He would score 3 goals for Marseille but even with not contributing that many goals-wise he helped Marseille rise from the sleeping giant position they were in Ligue 1. In May of this year, England would come calling and Boubacar would leave Marseille as one of their own true hometown heroes.

New Home In The Midlands

Boubacar Kamara has signed for Aston Villa in a free transfer, which is an absolute steal considering this youngster’s talent, he will add to an amazing Aston Villa midfield that will contain players like Phillipe Coutinho and John Mcginn which is an amazing midfield three and one that can fight for Europe. Steven Gerrard seems to be making a strong villa team and Kamara is a step in the right direction, he will bring strength, ball control, pace, and overall quality that Aston Villa has lacked in that position. He is an upcoming talent that can make his name in what many would consider the best league in world football.

What Does He Bring To The Table?

So let’s talk about what Villa will be getting in their new signing, Boubacar will bring knowledge beyond his years, ball control, being able to control the game and so much technique and attributes that Gerrard will love. His ability to read and control a game will bring much stability to an Aston Villa side that sometimes lacked Stability. Aston Villa can fight for Europe with the team/signings they have made this transfer window.

Boubacar could’ve played for Senegal but decided to play for France after being called up to the first team on the 19th of May 2022. Boubacar is yet to score for the senior team but I’m sure if he is as consistent for Villa as he was for Marseille there will be way more international caps for this young talent.

Kamara will bring a lot of talent to the Premier League next year, and with a few midfielders tipped to leave Aston Villa this year he will be an integral part of the Villa machine, a very strong Aston Villa side that with the signings of Boubacar Kamara, Diego Carlos and Phillipe Coutinho permanently can plan to challenge the bigger teams in the higher parts of the table. I do not doubt my mind Kamara will be getting into Team of the Season Shouts and will be leading the charts in assists when the curtain raises on the season. If Villa is to challenge Europe then this young Frenchmen will play a massive part.
