Gabriel Jesus has signed for Arsenal in a deal worth up to 40 million pounds. Some might see it as steep but in the current market and with a player of his quality you’re not gonna get him any cheaper.
The Brazillian Connection
So with the signing of Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal now has a strong Brazillian core in their team and all the players deserve their place in the team. Gabriel Martenilli, Gabriel Magalhães, and now Gabriel Jesus are players who will help Arsenal in the upcoming season when they will need substantial squad depth. With the possible addition of another Brazillian in the form of Raphina from Leeds, Mikel Arteta could be building a very strong squad for the future.
Comparisons To A Past Striker
Gabriel Jesus has reminded some Arsenal fans and fans of other clubs in England of Alexandre Lacazette who left Arsenal for Lyon this summer. If Jesus recreates Lacazette’s record then he will be some player for Arteta and Arsenal. I feel personally that Jesus could be better than Lacazette. He has better finishing and a better eye for goal and is just ever so slightly faster than the Frenchman which is something Arsenal has been lacking since Aubemyang left. Aubemyang was a fast-proven goal scorer which is something Jesus is.

Arsenal Is Making A Statement With Its Squad Depth
Arsenal has been busy in the current transfer window, Signing Fabio Viera from Porto, and Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City. They have also ramped up their efforts to sign Raphina from Leeds, and have also been linked with Lisandro Martinez from Ajax. This could be one of the busiest summers for Arsenal in a long time but also one of the smartest, with a season in the Europa League coming up along with an already busy domestic schedule squad depth is integral if Arsenal wanna succeed.
So let’s talk about squad depth, it is one of the most important parts of Modern-day football, with clubs like Liverpool and Man City pinching players to add to already bolstered squads. Having a deep talent pool means that if someone is tired or injured you can replace them with a player you can trust from your bench which is an amazing help when the season can be so draining.
Arsenal’s attack is going to have amazing depth when you could have the English front three of Saka, Smith Rowe, and Nketiah or a possible Brazillian front three of Martinelli, Raphina, and Jesus. You also have a stellar midfield with the likes of Odegard, Partey, Xhaka, and the newly added Fabio Viera just to name a few. With a season that will depend on Arsenal having depth with the Europa League incoming and being a long competition having the right personnel is always a help.
How Will This Transfer Play Out For Gabrial Jesus and Arsenal?
So how will this Transfer play out? Well in my opinion I feel like Jesus will be nothing but successful at Arsenal. Mike Arteta has turned Odeegard into an amazing midfielder and Nketiah into a confident striker, so I don’t see why Jesus won’t succeed at Arsenal. I think he could be very integral if Arsenal wants to win the Europa League this year and challenge for the Top 4 to get that ever-coveted champions league spot. This is good business on Arteta’s part and if all goes right Arsenal could be a team to be threatened with next season.
This transfer has special written all over it, I think Gabriel Jesus is a hell of a player and he has proven it at City and internationally for Brazil. Arteta has proven he is a good manager and I feel like he will prove it on all fronts next season as Arsenal will have a good run in most competitions next season. If all goes well it should be an exciting season for fans and everyone associated with Arsenal Fc.
