IMPACT VS AEW: A Perfect Crossover Event

Two amazing companies, one is IMPACT which has a deep and rich history, admittedly not all of it good but they are still highly influential. The second is AEW the problem child and new kid on the block who is trying to write their own history in the small time they’ve been in wrestling. So let’s put our fantasy caps on and make a perfect crossover PPV between these two wrestling mega powers

Deonna Purrazzo VS Emi Sakura

Deonna Purrazzo is someone who has a history with a list of AEW women’s talent, Britt Baker, and Thunder Rosa to name a few but here’s a new matchup for the Virtuosa. Emi Sakura is one of the most underrated talents in AEW in my opinion. This match would mix the technical style of Purrazzo with the high-flying and unpredictable style of Sakura. This would be such a fun match in so many ways and one I would definitely look forward to. As much as I love Sakura, the win goes to Purrazzo on this one.

Josh Alexander VS Jonathan Gresham

A technical match for the ages, Jonathan Gresham who in my opinion is still the best technical wrestler in the world, coming up against the hard-hitting style of IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander. Yes, we at Lace ‘Em Up do understand that Gresham has requested his release from ROH/AEW but let’s just imagine he comes back into the fold.

Gresham can go with the best of them and Alexander would be a wrestler that he could lock many of his famous submission holds onto. Alexander, on the other hand, could break Gresham down with his hard-hitting style. Not many people kick out of the C4 spike, but it’s not cause I’ve met him but I’m gonna give this one to Jonathan Gresham.

Making us tied at 1-1 so far.

Serena Deeb VS Mickie James

Mickie James has run into Serena Deeb in the past, so there is history there already which will help them build to this match. Serena Deeb is a hell of a wrestler but not scared to use underhanded tactics to win, while Mickie James is a bit of an all-around wrestler who can perform many styles to help her win.

I feel like this would be a great match cause it could go either way and a clash of styles could help give this match life. Deeb and James both have submissions they could lock in to aid in the match while also having normal finishers they could use, so how is this gonna go? I’m gonna give this one to Mickie James.

FTR VS Motor City Machine Guns

A tag match that would crash the internet, two of the best tag teams of our generation Motor City Machine Guns and FTR, two teams that have revolutionized the phrase tag team wrestling. You have the never say die high flying fast tempo of MCMG and you have the technical strong style of FTR, this, in my opinion, would be the match of the night with no questions asked. Four amazing wrestlers who know how to do the job. This one would go to the wire but I’m gonna give it to MCMG.

Scorpio Sky VS Ace Austin

An X-Division match that would be absolutely fantastic, two of the best high flyers in the business. Ace Austin and Scorpio Sky would be an amazing innovative match that would leave fans stunned. Ace Austin has the fold while Sky has the cutter so each wrestler could win out of completely nowhere but due to nefarious interference. I’m gonna give this match to Scorpio Sky. This le

3-2 to IMPACT.

Eric Young VS Malakai Black

A match between two well let’s say interesting characters, two wrestlers who aren’t afraid to use nefarious circumstances to win, Eric young has Violent by Design while Malakai has his house. Both wrestlers have finishers that can be hit out of nowhere, Malakai with the spinning kick and Eric with the Piledriver. Black might just have the upper hand with the black mist so I’m gonna give this match to Malakai.

It’s now 3-3 leading into the finale match.

IMPACT Vs AEW: The Champions Challenge

IMPACT Champions Josh Alexander, in his second match of the night, Mike Bailey, and Jordynne Grace vs AEW Champions Jon Moxley, Wardlow and Thunder Rosa. This will be a winners take all elimination match, for all the marbles to prove which company is better.

It’s an absolutely crazy match with it being left to Alexander vs Rosa to prove who is better. Yes, this is a full-on mixed-gender match where men and women can wrestle one another. Rosa hits the Thunder Driver but Alexander kicks out and rolls through and even though he’s tired hits the C4 Spike to win it all for IMPACT Wrestling proving their the superior company.

Well for now. Just like with AEWxNJPW this could be a yearly event or maybe they could even change up the format of their Battle Of The Belts specials. A once-a-year event that brings the best of IMPACT and AEW together.
