WWE: Who Had The Most Matchs in 2022…So Far

We have passed the halfway mark of 2022 and it’s time to have a look at who is the iron man or woman of WWE so far this year. With a reduced roster the talent pool is even smaller than in previous years but five stars have really shone over the last six months. This list includes current and former champions, someone who had one of the best matches and feuds of the year so far, and some of the biggest talking points of the year.

A huge thank you to WrestleOps who compiled this list. Make sure to follow them on Twitter.

LIV Morgan is the only woman to appear on this list at the halfway point with 65 matches in this first six-month period of 2022. Along with making WWE RAW must watch for fans of women’s wrestling, despite the up and down booking, she has also been one of the top women when it comes to Premium Live Events.

On the first day of the year, Liv Morgan would fail to win the RAW Women’s Championship off of Becky Lynch in the semi-main event of Day 1. The match was one of the best of the night. She then took part in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, entering 6th, and lasted over 37 minutes before being eliminated by Brie Bella. She looked like a complete star despite the match falling flat towards the end.

In mid-February Liv would take part in the WWE Women’s Elimination Chamber at the event of the same name, she didn’t win but got to show off her skills. By WrestleMania 38 Liv Morgan would be in a tag team with Rhea Ripley, which worked on so many levels and it was nice to see both women having fun. They would compete for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on Night Two of the event but ultimately were unsuccessful against the eventual winners Sasha Banks and Naomi.

At Hell In A Cell Morgan would team up with AJ Styles and Finn Balor against her former tag team partner Rhea Ripley and her teammates, Damian Priest and Edge, in Judgment Day. Morgan lost but that wasn’t the end of her journey this year. She would be absent from the following Premium Live Events but would return in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at the event of the same name. This event took place on the 2nd of July, but we will include it here as this was the night Live Morgan won the ladder match. She followed it up by cashing in on Ronda Rousey and becoming the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

#4. Riddle | 68 matches

What a six months Riddle has had in WWE.

At the first Premium Live Event of 2022, Day 1, Matt Riddle and Randy Orton, known as RKBRO defeated the Street Profits to retain their RAW Tag Team Championships. Riddle entered the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble at #20, lasting over 19 minutes, eliminating both Big E and Otis, and being eliminated by eventual winner Brock Lesner.

During the Elimination Chamber event, he would take part in the match of the same name in the main event. He wouldn’t win but he did show that he is still a singles star. At WrestleMania 38 RKBRO retained their championships against the Street Profits and Alpha Academy in the opening match of Night Two. At WrestleMania Backlash, RKBRO teamed up with Drew McIntyre in the main event, unfortunately, they were defeated by The Bloodline and this would lead to a huge match later on.

On May 20, 2022, on an episode of SmackDown RKBRO would lose the RAW Tag Team Championships to The Usos in a winner takes all match. Riddle would be absent from the following Premium Live Event but would return at Money In The Bank, having a fantastic showing but not winning the ladder match.

#3. Seth Rollins | 72 matches

Seth Rollins currently has the most losses on the entire WWE roster with 50 in his 72 matches so far this year. He is also the only person to have a victory over current WWE World and Universal Champion, Roman Reigns on TV and PPV since 2020. Despite the fact he hasn’t won most of his matches so far this year that hasn’t stopped him from having the best matches in WWE to date.

His first standout match was at Day 1 where he participated in a fatal five-way for the WWE Championship, he didn’t win but the Royal Rumble would see him face off against another champion. At this year’s Royal Rumble Rollins would get the first win over Roman Reigns since 2020. Winning via disqualification, meaning he didn’t win the championship, Rollins proved that he is the one man Reigns just can’t defeat. This match was a master class with Rollins going full Shield, from the entrance to his gear, he played the villain and hero in equal measure here.

Rollins has appeared at every Premium Live Event this year so far. At WrestleMania 38 on Night One, he faced off against the returning Cody Rhodes in one of the best matches of the weekend in WWE. They would have their part two at WrestleMania Backlash and it was even better than their first encounter. Both men would take things to the next level in their last match against one another, due to Cody being injured, at Hell In A Cell. Inside the cage, the two men took their feud to its logical and brutal conclusion. for now that is.

#2. Jey USO | 75 matches & Jimmy USO | 77 matches

The Usos have been one of the best tag teams in all of WWE for a very long time and this year was their crowning moment. From Day 1, no pun intended, they have made it their mission as part of The Bloodline to hold all the gold. After Jey knocked it out of the park as a singles star the return of his brother from injury reunited one of the best brother tag teams in the world.

Jimmy Uso has two more matches than his brother and that is down to the fact that both have also competed in singles competitions during this six-month period. On May 20, 2022, on an episode of SmackDown RKBRO would lose the RAW Tag Team Championships to The Usos in a winner takes all match. Since then they have defended their championships against all comers and have reigned as the Undisputed Tag-team Champions of WWE.
