#5. Top Star Tamina
At WrestleMania, Bayley predictably retained her SmackDown Women’s championship in a fatal five-way. For Money In The Bank, Bayley moved onto a transitional feud with Tamina, a figure who had not been relevant in the women’s division since…well, never actually.
To quickly build a star out of “Superfly”’s daughter, Tamina got baffling victories including a clean pinfall victory over Sasha Banks in a singles match. Yes, really. She also pinned champion Bayley clean in a tag team affair.
Considering the inevitable Sasha storyline and Tamina’s status over the last decade, it was obvious she would not win; she didn’t. It was nice of the WWE to try to push one of their company cornerstones but the 180 turn on Tamina was drastic and brief at that.
